It's hard to imagine a candidate for the Presidency of the United States making a statement that would boomerang to bite him right in the rump; but, the then-Presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama, did just that when he said on the campaign trail in 2008 "Judge me by the people who surround me."
OK, Mr. President, for those of us who suffered some sort of "ET" extraction during the campaign and couldn't separate fact from fiction when viewing video of the white-man-hating "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright, we now have the ultra-wacky Van Jones to help connect the dots to draw a portrait of Obama. Google Van Jones to get all the very stupid and racist things he's said; but, lets just say that Van and I will probably never share a spring turkey hunt together!
It is hard to imagine that such a creature has walked amongst us for all these years and managed to to emerge as an advisor to the President of the United States. It's almost like Van Jones walked out of the northwestern forests of the West Coast to proclaim, "See, there is a Sasquatch!" Like an animal that managed to escape detection all these decades, Van Jones seems to have lived in a parallel universe where right is left, up is down and outside is inside. After you read Jones' comments about his fellow environmentalists "steering pollution into the black communities," you finally say to yourself, "Yes, Barack Hussein Obama must be the from the same clan of Sasquatch that spawned this Van Jones creature."
Please come to the Tea Party in DC on 12 September 2009 to show the world that right-thinking Americans do exist. Your country needs you to show your colors now more than ever in the history of this republic.

ACORN? Nyet! CIA? Aye!
On 25 July 09, your humble correspondent reported that a young US Congressman from Utah was waiving an 88 page report over his head that supposedly chronicled ACORN'S numerous crimes for which they are under indictment. ACORN's indictments in several states cover crimes like voter fraud, extortion and voter intimidation. Yep, this is the same ACORN that stands to reap BILLIONS of tax dollars wrapped in the Stimulus Fund. The Alma Mater of the current Chairman-in-Chief, ACORN seems to know where all the bones are buried and is making its fortune on the backs of the taxpayers.
This week, instead of opening a well-deserved investigation of ACORN, Attorney General Eric Holder decides that he'll open-up an investigation of the CIA! Way to go, Eric! In one fell swoop, you ignore domestic crimes against taxpaying citizens in favor of "investigating" crimes against terror suspects. Who's kidding who? Obama lied to the CIA went he went over to Foggy Bottom and assured agents that they didn't have targets on their backs.
Eric Holder and his boss have cut another notch in their socialist gun handle and emboldened our enemies. Wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall in the meeting rooms of the Generals in China? They must be rolling in the aisles as they tune in to Fox and CNN coverage of what can only seem like manna from heaven in their private efforts to take us without firing a shot!

What a difference one week makes!
There I was, just minding my own, fiscally conservative business, when what should appear on the tube? It was a good looking young man who was identified as a Congressman from Utah. He shared with anyone within earshot that the House Oversight Committee had put together an 88 page report citing all manner of crimes by ACORN. I was schocked. Not that it would be reported that ACORN would be involved in a crime, but that someone in DC would take the time to write the report and intimidate the Justice Department into action.
It was just one week ago that the story broke that John Conyers had been waived-off his efforts to investigate ACORN by "the powers that be." Doggone, I thought that voters were the power in DC!
It may just be that we still have a chance to save this country. Not a big chance, but a chance just the same.

An ACORN becomes a mighty oak and crushes Conyers
Most folks would consider membership in the House Jusiciary Committee to be a pretty heady job. Even more lofty is the job of Chairman, leader and goal setter if you will. The current Chairman is John Conyers and there was a time when he thought that he was bull of the woods. Times change. What brought about the humbling of the powerful Chairman? An embarassing taped telephone conversation? A secret video of a forbidden sexual liasion? Tax problems? Well, we really don't know; but, something had to change the mind of the once-mighty Chairman.
In March 2009, Mr. Conyers said the following "That's our jurisdiction, the Department of Justice." "That's what we handle: voter fraud. Unless that's been taken out my jurisdiction and I didn't know about it." Mr. Conyers was of course referring to ACORN or COI as it's now known. Back in March he was hell bent for leather to launch his own probe of the much-investigated organization. Last Wednesday, he told a reporter for the Washington Times that "The powers that be decided against it."
It must be frustrating. Sitting in that big committee room on his lofty perch knowing that anybody with any sense knows that Conyers is a fraud and a "Yes Man." The orders came down from Mount Olympus on this one (barring any 8'x10" glossies of Conyers and his pet sheep) and the order was NO INVESTIGATION OF ACORN, now or ever! After all, it's mighty embarrassing for the ex-ACORN legal mouthpiece, now President Barack Obama, to be caught-up in an RICO investigation! I'm sure that the President must lament that it's just so hard to find good help these days.

I don't want to go to Afghanistan and you can't make me!
Take a reluctant U.S. Army Reserve Major, Stefan F. Cook, under orders to report for duty in Iraq. Mix in a clever defense attorney intent on proving the system broken and what do you have? Probably the biggest news story to come down the pike since Obama's election and how much coverage did it get? Next to none. How can that be? Real easy. The news media in this country is stuck on stupid, in the tank for Obama no matter the implications for the country. The whole stinking lot of them remind me of that most corrupt news organization, CNN, playing fat, dumb and stupid for Saddam just to keep their office in Baghdad.
Major Cook's attorney, a Ms. Orly Taitz, was candid about the implications of her client's orders being revoked. She said that she was prepared to encourage each and every member of the military to put forward a challenge to Obama's legitimate birth right to be President.
This whole new, arrogant and dangerous leftist world order may come tumbling down at the hands of our nation's heroes. How great would that be?

The Independent Party?????
Yesterday, 03 July 2009, might well be written in future history books as the birth date of the great American Independent Party. It was the day that Alaska's own Sarah Palin resigned her position as governor of AK and probably positioned herself for a run for the Presidency of the US in 2012. I doubt that Mrs. Palin will or should run under the banner of the Republican Party. No, she's been there, tried that and has a closet full of t-shirts. She obviously energized a moribund McCain campaign to the point that McCain should have realized that his time had come and past and that it was Sarah's time. He should have stepped aside and offered Sarah to the republic. Well, that didn't happen and look where we are now! How's all that hope and change working out for you?
The nasty behavior of the McCain campaign managers during and since the election made me cringe. How do you denigrate a woman who has the leadership credentials, organizational savvy and moral direction that Mrs. Palin displays? Why did the Republican Party seem to want to eat its young? I guess because both national parties have become irrelevant to the majority of clear thinking Americans. For crying out loud, how pathetic does the current President fare in a side-by-side comparison with Mrs Palin? On one side of the ledger is a guy who never had a real job and who voted to set aside to die babies who had survived a botched abortion. The same guy who barely whimpered as the mullahs ordered the death of young Iranians on the streets of Tehran versus the self-proclaimed "pit bull with lipstick."
All I can sense is that America began to turn a corner yesterday. This is a mighty ship that takes a while to change course; but, I feel that Mrs Palin is the captain to bring us back on a course to reality and feeling good about ourselves in the way that Ronald Reagan had a knack for doing!
Without Jimmy Carter, there would have been no Ronald Reagan and without Obama, there could have been no Palin!

Obama's Big Test: Grade: F-
Just as Joe Biden predicted during the campaign last summer, Obama is being tested by world leaders and events and he is suffering because he can't be graded on the curve.
Freedom loving Iranians, mostly young, cyber-savvy and tired of the repressive mullahs have been dying in the streets. They have been beaten, shot and stabbed to ask "Where's my vote?"
What's Obama to do? Well, he's not real sure because this is a totally unscripted event. It doesn't fit neatly onto the teleprompter or the 10 second sound bite. What should he have done? Simple. The Iranian youth haven't heard that you don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Oops! They don't have guns because they don't have a Second Amendment like American citizens do. Do we have some spare weapons, say just like the thousands we seize in Iraq everyday? We have plenty of untraceable AK 47's, ammo, RPG's, mines, mortars, you name it. Could they be delivered into the hands of young students by SEAL insertion teams? You bet.
Trouble is, Obama has never had a real job, private sector or military. When the closest thing to a real job is to represent ACORN as a legal mouthpiece, you're in big trouble when it comes puzzling-out complex world events. His reply that we don't want to be seen as meddling in Iranian affairs is ludicrous. Does he really think that the mullahs are ever going to come to the White house for dinner?
To paraphrase Michelle Obama, I'm becoming embarrassed to be an American!
