Of particular interest is the move that some of Cuccinelli's troops put on to conceal official findings of the real residence of Ramadan which would have probably disqualified him for the delegate seat he was seeking.  He won the Delegate seat by 50 votes.  Ken, Bob and Eric must be very proud!

I usually find it difficult to agree with anything that an Old Miss rebel has to opine; however, these are extraordinary times and I am moved to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my SEC compadre on the Guv's shortcomings. The only item Tom missed was the reluctance of the Guv to even discuss all the pro-jihad folks living and working in the Commonwealth.

 

I wrote the Guv a RRR letter back in January 2011 and asked him what he intended to do about all "unindicted co-conspirators" from the Holy Land Foundation trial living and working in VA. His reply was straight out of the political double-speak handbook. The Guv had his "Director of Community relations," Kathy Terry, respond to me as follows:

 

"Governor McDonnell does not have the authority to intervene in this issue."

 

Well, OK, Guv, what will it take for you to "intervene?" How about an attack on a shopping mall or a middle school, would that be sufficient cause to get you off your butt and into the fray?

CAIR was named as one of the "unindicted co-conspirators" in the Holy Land Foundation terror trial; but, it has absolutely flourished under both the Bush and Obama administrations.  These guys have even lectured the FBI and the US military about purging training manuals of terms like "Muslim jihad."  They've had dinner at the White House, been inside the FBI headquarters on numerous occasions and generally lived large while achieving notable gains in promoting Muslim jihad in America.

 

When the US Army's official report determines that they should call the massacre at Fort Hood an example of "work place violence," you know that Saudi cash is lubricating the inner workings of our government big time!

Obama Oil and Gas?

On 17 April 12, the Ayatollah Obama, flanked by his two stooges, "I'm Paid to Lie" Holder and "Turbo Tax Timmy" Geithner, told a press gathering in the Rose Garden that there had to be "more cops on the beat" to crack down on oil market manipulation.

Since gasoline prices per gallon have doubled since Obama took office, Obama should be worried that his nutcase energy directives are finally coming home to roost in the form of higher energy policies.  Besides the obvious flaws in Obama's Marxist outlook on markets and what drives markets, you would think that he would be embarrassed to demand more oil market cops when his administration is selling guns to Mexican drug cartels and laundering their drug revenues.

Not our boy!  If you control the liberal media, you don't have to apologize for treason, just blame Bush.  Obama may have more ambitious plans in mind than simply spanking the big oil companies.  Obama wants to control their power in the world economy.  You may remember a warning that I sent out almost exactly one year ago today on 14 April 11.  If not, I've pasted it below and it's worth repeating………

You can't keep a good Marxist / Socialist down! 

Obama seems like he is staying right on track to develop a first class fuel crisis in the United States by cutting off supply ( no new drilling permits to speak of, unrest in the Middle East)  and driving the price per gallon into the stratosphere, wrecking the US economy.  Obama even backed a $2 billion loan to Brazil to promote their oilfield and promised that the US would be their "best customer."

MSNBC has reported that Saudi King Abdullah was so incensed by Obama's action against Mubarak in Egypt that the good king sent emissaries to Russia and China to promote more business dealings between the three countries.  Let's peel that onion back a little bit.  What does Saudi have that China wants?  Saudi has oil and plenty of it.  What does Russia and China have that Saudi wants?  How about armaments, jets, missiles, submarines and satellites?  Can the King afford to cut off the US as his big arms supplier?  You bet he can, he has the resources to buy military toys anywhere.

Would the Chinese be so covetous of their new found, exclusive oil supplier that they would commit to put a million troops on the ground in Saudi to protect their oilfields from aggressors, say the USA?  Would the Chinese submarine fleet be positioned off the US coast ready to deliver a death blow to counter any signs of US aggression in the Middle East?  Remember that the Chinese have given us fair warning of their submarine superiority.  About 3 years ago, a Chinese sub popped-up in a US carrier group during exercises, completely undetected by our surface, subsurface and satellite resources; and, in November 2010, a Chinese sub sailed within 35 miles of the CA coast, fired an intercontinental ballistic missile and slipped away undetected.  You remember, it was reported by the media to be the contrail of a commercial jet rising vertically off the coast!  Yeah.

Yep, I'm going to be first online, while we can still go on line, to order my "Obama Oil and Gas" credit card.  I'm going to try for the $30,000.00 credit line just to cover my local trips to the grocery, cleaners and doctors' visits.  Naturally, any serious fuel consumption for trips to see the grandkids will be exclusively paid for in gold, as will most of our future purchases.  It's a brave new world, comrade! 

 

Drill Our Own Oil!

Call me silly or a hopeless romantic, but why do I find the practice of marrying ten year old girls repugnant beyond all reason?

 

The Ayatollah Obama bows to the Saudi king, buys his oil and accepts the gift of a golden necklace that any Detroit rapper would be proud to own. Still, Obama scores relatively well in the national polls.  What does that say about our American culture, education and voter involvement in our constitutional republic?  It tells me that 47% of American don't pay any federal income tax, that's what! 

 

When will the majority of Americans realize that there are vast sums that are involved in buying foreign oil and that OPEC cash has completely corrupted our political system and most of the US, professional, political class?  The Saudis continue to invest huge sums to buy more land in America to build ever greater number of mosques.  The more mosques, the more influence.  The sight of Obama entertaining the president of ISNA at the Iftar dinner at the White house made me want to retch.  ISNA holds the mortgages on all the mosques the Saudis have built in the US since 9 /11/2001.  Why do Americans tolerate the selling-out of our ideals and the constitutional system that ensures individual freedoms?

 

The corruption is easy to spotlight in Obama's actions / inactions.  He won't buy Canadian oil through the Keystone Pipeline, preferring to buy from the likes of Hugo Chavez and the Saudis.  Obama will help overturn Egypt's Hosni Mubarak in a heartbeat; but, he wouldn't help the Iranian middle class in their efforts to unseat the Iranian mullahs in the summer of 2009.

 

Obama invaded Libya to help oust Gadhafi; but, he wouldn't help prevent the mass murders of thousands that have taken place in Syria under the machine guns of Bashar al-Assad.  Oh, I forgot, Syria is on the border with Israel and Iran supports Syria.  Now, I get it.

 

Please send a message in November to our local, state and federal officials.  We want our country back!

It's Great to be a FOB (Friend of Obama)

In another stunning example of the Main Stream Media covering for the Ayatollah Obama, nobody but Glenn Beck is promoting the main reason for the rejection of the Keystone Pipeline.  It involves the alternative means of transport, railroads.

What is more environmentally safe?  Would you rather see oil transported in a thick-walled steel pipe from Canada to Port Arthur, TX; or, would you rather see it loaded in tank cars in Canada, transshipped across the entire breadth of the United States and off-loaded in TX?  All along the tracks, trains are subject to derailments, accidents with vehicles and human error.  The seamless transport of oil by pipeline happens every day, all day long across America and nobody gives it a thought.  It is cost-effective, environmentally safe and relatively hazard free.

And, let's not forget that all those locomotives belching serious levels of nitrous oxide cause a lot more environmental damage than a pipeline could ever generate.  That fact alone should have sealed the fate of the railroad alternative to the pipeline and dictated that the common sense solution be chosen.  Well, like Mom used to say, common sense isn't that common, especially when the owner of the railroad is connected at the hip to the Ayatollah Obama!

That's right, the owner of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad with the right-of-way that would transport the oil is none other than Warren Buffett.  His company, Berkshire Hathaway, bought BNSF in November 2009 for $34 billion.  There is no way of calculating the impact of the decision not to build the Keystone Pipeline on BNSF's bottom line; but, suffice to say, the shareholders will have a smile on their face and a song in their hearts and will be laughing all the way to the bank if BNSF begins transporting that oil.  Let me see, did Obama get Buffett's support last election?  Yes, I believe he did.

Besides the mainstream media, do you think that the brain-dead Republicrats would have gone all over the airwaves publicizing that fact?  Not on your life.  They're just waiting to see what Buffett can do for them once they unseat Obama.

Corruption is so rampant in our political, legal and media industries that I really don't know if we can get this country back.

The veil of corruption within the command structure of the US Army has been evident since the Fort Hood massacre took place.  The fact that Major Nidal Hasan had the initials "SOA" on his Army business card belies the extent of that corruption.  Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that "SOA" stands for "Soldier of Allah," not "Spirit of America!"

Text: Why was E.W. Jackson, candidate for U.S. Senate, not allowed to speak at the Town Center rally? The HR Tea Party evidently barred Jackson in favor of hearing from Ms. Radke. I think she's a noble lady; but, I've heard Mr. Jackson on the radio and he has plenty of good ideas and he's very skillful in communicating those ideas. I would have liked to hear him speak; and, from the crowd comments, I wasn't the only one with that attitude. Has the Tea Party already joined the Republicrats and our VB city government in picking winners and losers? It would appear to be the case.

Here's another story about the FBI's efforts to investigate, arrest and prosecute what I call "fringe" jihadists.  We saw prime examples in the case of the folks down in Raleigh, NC and in the bunch from Philly who were financing jihad overseas.

Columbine Student's Father 12 years Later

 

 

God was surely speaking through this man!   Our national leaders didn't expect this!   On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness...     The following is a portion of the transcript: "Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women.  We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence.  The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain.  Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field.  The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. What has happened to us as a nation?  We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence.  And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA.  They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties… We do not need more restrictive laws.  Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors.  No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre.  The real villain lies within our own hearts." "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school.  I defy any law or politician to deny him that right!  I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools.  Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain.  Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him.  To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge...Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!"; "My daughter's death will not be in vain! Beck Jumps Nasty on "Fooey Looey" Farrakhan

I watched a special featuring "Fooey Looey" Farrakhan on GBTV.com last night.  The story was mostly video exerpts from over the years.  Beck made a point of making all the pertinent videos available on his website glennbeck.com.

 

The fact that Farrakhan is a nut case and rubbed shoulders with nut cases from around the world is not news; but, what is news is how our US Attorney General embraces guys like Al not-too-Sharpton who are poker playing buddies of Farrakhan.

 

If you or I made statements like these guys do, they'd already be handing us our orange jumpsuits.  The fact that our nation's legal system has degenerated to that of a third world country seems to go unnoticed by many.  Besides voting out the clowns that made all this chaos possible, what are we going to do about the top civil servants at agencies like DoJ and EPA who have declared war on Middle Class America?

New Black Panthers: Eric Holder Calls Them "My People"

 

The New Black panthers have been circulating "Wanted Posters" for the capture, dead or alive, of George Zimmerman, lately of Sanford, FL.

 

I must have missed the Ayatollah Obama's speech condemning the NBP's Wanted Posters in what can only be called a black on white hate crime.  The New Black Panthers have also stated that they intend to "patrol" Sanford.  One group sympathetic to the Panthers locked arms and effectively shut down shift change at the Sanford Police station today.  And what are the FL State Police doing?

 

Let me see if I can remember what they call it when a government selectively enforces the law and even tells its duly elected representatives that one or another favored group is "my people."  Oh, yeah, it's called a banana republic and, folks, that's just exactly what we have going on here in America.

From the Ayatolla Obama to the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei?

How should the American people view the reports out of DC on Good Friday that Obama recently used Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan to communicate the notion to the Iranian Mullahs that if they "promise not to develop nuclear weapons" that the US won't object to their nuclear development program?

Let me get this straight…..

The leadership in Iran, most notably Ahmadinajad, is convinced that his place on Earth is to bring about the coming of the 12^th Imam, who will only appear if the world is on fire.  He has called for the total destruction of the United States, the "Great Satan" and Israel, the "Little Satan."

As was reported just last month, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the IAEA, expressed "serious concerns" that Iran has been conducting secret work on nuclear weapons, noting the Mullahs refusal on two recent occasions to allow-in outside observers as well as evidence of significant uranium enrichment.

Is Obama's message to the Mullahs simply confirming that the US will continue its stated policy toward Iranian nuclear development; or, is something more insidious going on?

Let's review the facts of Obama's behavior around the Mullahs:

1.      In the summer of 2009, Obama refused a made-to-order opportunity to destroy the mullahs by backing the rioters with cash, weapons, ammo, explosives and trainers.  He stated that he didn't want to interfere in the internal affairs of Iran.

2.     Obama prematurely pulled all US troops out of Iraq, setting the stage for an eventual Iranian take-over of Iraq.

3.     How did a fully-intact, US attack drone recently manage to fall into Iranian hands in 100% working condition?

4.     Obama has repeatedly warned BiBi Netanyahu not to launch a preemptive attack on Iran's nuclear processing facilities.  Obama knows full well that he has no choice but to fully back Israel's military if they attack Iran BEFORE the US November elections.  Not backing Israel would mean losing the votes of American Jews among whom Obama enjoys surprising support.

The question for the American people seems to boil down to a pretty simple equation: Should we trust one of the most corrupt politicians to ever rise to prominence in the United States?  Obama has dined with "unindicted co-conspirators" from terror trials, viewing them as simply another political special interest group; He's sold weapons to Mexican drug cartels resulting in the deaths of at least two US Border Agents; He's run-up five trillion dollars in US debt in just three years; and, Obama generally regards middle class taxpayers as folks who "cling to guns or religion."

If BiBi Netanyahu has a lick or sense, he'll do what he needs to do to protect the people of Israel and, not unimportantly, maintain the last buffer the United States has in the Middle East, thanks to Obama's brilliantly executed "Arab Spring."  Failing to act against the Iranian atomic threat has a parallel in the 20^th century around 1938 with a guy named Adolph Hitler, same goals, same ideology.

GOP's "War on Women"

I reviewed President Obama's remarks at the forum on women and the economy held at the White House on, curiously, Good Friday.

 

Nowhere in his remarks did Obama mention that his people met with a delegation from the Egyptian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood just this past week.  The Muslim Brotherhood presented their entire line of Spring fashion for women while staying in DC.

 

They offered the full length burka in "Midnight at the Oasis Black" and "Midnight in Inner City Detroit Black" and ......  I think that you get the idea.

 

Obama shines his spotlight right into the eyes of American women while supporting the Muslim Brotherhood's violent, repressive doctrines against women's rights in the Middle East, Malaysia, Africa and coming soon to a neighborhood near you in America.

 

Personally, I prefer the full length burka in black.  How about you?

Three Targets for Governor McDonnell

Most of you know me as a guy who tends to roll with the punches and go with the flow, never questioning the motives or actions of those with political power.

However, I must admit that I've been vexed lately by the inaction of one of the most powerful men in Virginia, Governor Bob McDonnell.  What has the Governor NOT been doing?

Let's start with the hottest item on his desk, HB 1160, the bill that would deny Virginia assets to the Feds if they tried to detain a US citizen without a court-issued warrant.  Hey, Bob, this is only a state's rights issue linked to a basic provision in the Bill of Rights which you have allowed to sit on your desk for weeks unsigned.

I realize that you harbor delusions of being Romney's pick for VP; but, get real, Bob, the Dems shot your horse right out from underneath you when they cranked-up this whole "War on Women" PR blitz.  In case nobody's whispered this in your ear, that push for women's votes by the Dumocrats almost assuredly put SC Governor Nikki Haley on the ballot with Romney.  No use pandering to the independents and moderates within the Republicratic Party, Bob, that horse has bolted the corral and has disappeared into the night. 

SIGN THE BILL!

My second area of concern comes from the laments that I hear from a very dear friend of mine who is a VA coal miner.  It seems as if the EPA, under the leadership of the Ayatollah Obama, has issued orders just this week that effectively precludes the construction of coal-fired electrical generating plants.   Let me see if I can make any sense of this for you, Governor.   No coal-fired plants, even with the new clean coal scrubbers, means less coal getting burned, less power available to the public, higher rates for electricity and fewer jobs for VA coal miners.  Gee! Just what Obama promised in one of his campaign speeches!  Imagine that!

How about you set your AG, Ken Cuccinelli, studying a method for challenging the EPA's rule and issuing a "stay" ruling of his own until he can come up with a method for striking the EPA rule from being enforceable in VA?  Oh, while you're at it, remind all the Obamaites that it will take a bunch of coal-fired plants to generate the electricity to allow them to plug-in all those Chevy Volts that catch fire all the time.

Lastly, and I hesitate to even mention it, there's that pesky problem of those Muslim jihadists who are hard at work in Virginia, planning to slit all our throats and burn us in our beds.  Have you heard of them?  Of course you have because I've sent you RRR letters to which you've responded that it was Cuccinelli's job to undertake.  Of course, you know that Cuccinelli told me that it wasn't his job either.  I was just wondering what sort of attack on Virginia soil is it going to take for you to make it your business, Governor?  Will an attack on a mall in Virginia Beach or a middle school in Fairfax do the trick?  I suppose that besides my warnings, you've been reading about the same warnings coming from "experts" within the US law enforcement community and from those knowledgeable about Muslim jihad.  When the attacks begin to happen here in Virginia, likely within the next few months when Israel attacks Iran, who do you intend to blame?  It's time to raid those northern Virginia mosques, Governor!  You're going to discover weapons, ammo, explosives and plans for jihad.  Given your flare for self-promotion, that should generate enough media exposure for a lifetime of story-telling and "Lifetime Achievement" awards from various civic groups. 

Or, you can contemplate the downstream impacts on your legacy by not acting.

Where are Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and the Ayatollah Obama on this one?

 

A week ago, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a black kid named Tyrone Woodfork
severely 

beat an elderly couple, a Mr. & Mrs. Strait, who had been married for
65 years.  

Tyrone RAPED Mrs. Strait, and she died of injuries received at his
hands. 

Mr. Strait served in the 101st Airborne during WWII. NO national media
carried 

the story. Tyrone was arrested yesterday.

I supposed that if Mr. Strait had shot  Tyrone, the whole country would
know 

about the story. As it is, only Mrs. Strait died, so it's not of
interest to Brian 

Williams and the rest of the main stream media media.

Think about it. After 65 years of marriage. After serving our country.
After 90 

years of life, Mr. Strait has lost his wife to a rapist/murderer. NO
ONE in the 

national media gives a flip. They're interested in their wonderful
hero, Trayvon Martin.

A man accused of assaulting an elderly couple this month was formally
charged Monday.Tyrone Woodfork, 20, was charged in Tulsa County
District Court with felony first-degree murder, two counts of robbery
with a firearm and first-degree burglary. 
Bob and Nancy Strait were assaulted March 14 in their home in the 3300
block of East Virgin Street. Nancy Strait died March 15 from injuries
related to the assault. She was also raped. Bob Strait is still
recovering from multiple injuries and has been re-admitted to a
hospital. 
Woodfork was arrested March 15 after witnesses reported seeing the
couple's stolen 2001 Dodge Neon in the 3500 block of East Fourth
Street. He remains in the Tulsa Jail without bond.

America is still not prepared--listen to this expert: Jjval Aviv

Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie ' Munich ' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard. She appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games. In a lecture in New York City a few weeks ago, Aviv shared information that EVERY American needs to know - but that our government has not yet shared with us. Aviv predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted Aviv back on the show. But, unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred. Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East ) to the Bush Administration about 9/11 a month before it occurred. His report specifically said that they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant. Now for Aviv's future predictions: He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.. Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try hijacking a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke--that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective. For example: 1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic. 2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked! Every strategy we have is reactionary. 3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates. Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel , security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport. Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate... (i.e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as rural America this time (Wyoming, Montana, etc.). The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like a big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas. Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas , they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away. Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U.S. Government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts.. The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant. On an encouraging note, Aviv says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. He says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'. Aviv also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'home grown'- that means having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U.S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East . These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them. Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terrorist threats we will, inevitably, face. America still has only a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON. So, what can America do to protect itself? From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for its intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel's, Ireland's and England's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to trust 'aware' citizens to help... We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, our U.S. Government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Our government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.. Aviv recently created/executed a security test for our Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-traveled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out. In fact, in Chicago , someone tried to steal the briefcase! In comparison, Aviv says that citizens of Israel are so well 'trained' that an unattended bag or package would be reported in seconds by citizen(s) who know to publicly shout, 'Unattended Bag!' The area would be quickly & calmly cleared by the citizens themselves. But, unfortunately, America hasn't been 'hurt enough' yet by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism. Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about our schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there.. (In New York City , this was days, in some cases!) He stresses the importance of having a plan that's agreed upon within your family, to respond to in the event of a terrorist emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools, too, develop plans of actions, as they do in Israel . Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow. Aviv says that the U.S. Government has in force a plan that, in the event of another terrorist attack, will immediately cut-off EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated. How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak? You need to have a plan. If you believe what you have just read, then you must feel compelled to send it to every concerned parent or guardian, grandparents, uncles, aunts, whatever and whomever. Nothing will happen if you choose not to do so, but in the event it does happen, this particular email will haunt you... "I should have sent this to...", but I didn't believe it and just deleted it as so much trash.
